Child Support Awareness Month August 2025

Our director Toni Kendrick received an official Proclamation from the Board of Supervisors recognizing August 2025 as Child Support Awareness Month in Kern County.

Our department was acknowledged for taking meaningful steps to remove barriers, improve access and deliver services in a way that is more efficient, equitable and responsive to the needs of our community.

This August, Kern County Child Support Services remains committed to building a future that is modern, fair, and focused on what matters most: the well-being of Kern County’s children and families. As we recognize Child Support Awareness Month, we are proud to share how our department is evolving to meet the changing needs of today’s families while remaining grounded in our core department values.

We are creating sustainable solutions for the families we serve and working internally to grow our understanding of the communities we serve.

Kern County Child Support Services is excited to announce our theme this year is: “We’ve Changed. Modernizing for Today’s Families.”
