Family Law Facilitator Providing Services at our Bakersfield Office

The Family Law Facilitator will be available at our Bakersfield office, 3701 N. Sillect Ave, to assist with legal forms related to child and spousal support as well as provide general procedural information.

Child Support Services Available at Kern County Family Justice Centers

Did you know that Kern County Child Support Services is an on-site partner at the Kern County Family Justice Center? Our partnership provides a private space in their centers allowing our team to available to help parents who have questions about the child support process, want to open a case, or need to speak with a representative about their existing case.
Spanish-speaking teams are available, and we also offer a language line to ensure everyone gets the help they need. Walk-ins are welcome Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 4:00pm. Let us help you navigate the process and get the support your family deserves.

Kern County Family Resource Centers

Resource Centers are a one stop shop for families and community members needing any of the following services: Case Management Development for Children Ages 0-5, Court Mandated Classes, School Readiness, VITA Free Tax Prep, Transportation Assistance, Support Groups, Utilities/Water Assistance, Emergency Food, DMV Vouchers, Baby Supplies, Foster Youth Services, Local Resource Referrals, and More.

17th Annual Ready-Set Back 2 School Health & Wellness Fair

Kern County Child Support Services is proud to announce the 17th Annual Ready-Set Back 2 School Health & Wellness Fair at the Kern County Museum on Thursday, August 6th, 2026.
Since 2009, our department’s team members and our partners fundraise to help families and children in Kern County go back to school with all their essentials. Our events have helped over 40,000 families receive a free backpack with school supplies.
Families are invited to join us at our free, family-friendly community event!
Kids in Kindergarten-12th grade receive a free backpack, school supplies & more!
Plus, we will have many of our community partners at our event providing:
Free Services for Families and Children,
Giveaways & Prizes
Community Resources,
Family-Friendly Fun,
Games & Activities

Kids in Kindergarten through 12th grade receive a FREE backpack, school supplies, & giveaways!
