Food Bank Locations and Resources
Due to the ongoing federal government shutdown, CalFresh benefits are currently delayed. To help support those affected, below are a few resources that are available for families in Kern County.
Foodbank Locations:
CAPK:
- CalFresh Recipients Tab: This tab lists food banks specifically for CalFresh recipients.
- General Food Banks Tab: Divided into two sections.
- Federal Worker Support Tab: This section includes resources for federal workers impacted by the shutdown and not receiving paychecks.
CAPK will begin food distribution this Monday, November 3, 2025. They received 1/3rd of the National Guard support requested and anticipate 50,000-70,000 CalFresh recipients will be affected. Their goal is to serve over 6,000 households in Kern County.
