Annual Ready-Set Back 2 School Health & Wellness Fair
Every year, our department fundraises to host our Annual Ready-Set Back 2 School Health & Wellness Fair at the Kern County Museum to help families and children go back to school with all their essentials. Our events have helped over 40,000 families receive a free backpack with school supplies since 2009.
Kids in Kindergarten-12th grade receive a free backpack, school supplies and more!
Plus, our community partners are at our event providing:
Free services for families and children,
Giveaways of community resources,
Family-Friendly Fun,
Games & Activities.
We also host our backpack giveaway events in locations across Kern County. This year, we hosted giveaways in Delano, Ridgecrest, Lost Hills, Taft and Mojave!
